The resin detail set Quickboost tropical engine cowling with exhaust for the Fw 190A-5/A-6 in 1:48 scale. The accessory replaces the engine cowling as well as the exhausts with finer resin parts; it is not a model of the airplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Quickboost (Aires) set in 1:48 scale holds a tropical engine cowling together with the exhausts for the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5/A-6 fighter. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of the airplane: the resin parts replace the plastic cowling and exhaust stubs from the boxed kit and make it possible to build the machine in the tropical, that is dusty, fit.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 and A-6 were widespread versions powered by the BMW 801 radial engine. Machines committed to dusty and hot surroundings were given a reworked tropical engine cowling with additional items for cooling and filtration. The cowling together with the exhausts is one of the prominent features of the forward part of the fuselage.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. Take care over a smooth run of the cowling into the fuselage and over the drilled mouths of the exhausts, which come into their own once the metallic tones are brought out.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin detail set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
