A detail set of the wheel bays for the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 fighter in 1:48 scale from Aires. The resin accessory replaces the often simplified bays of a plastic kit with faithfully detailed compartments carrying the structure of the ribs, piping and rivets.
The Fw 190A-8 was among the most numerous versions of the German fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by the BMW 801 radial engine and was built in large numbers in a range of factories.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue. The bays come into their own once painted in a base shade, with the edges picked out by a dry brush and a gentle wash that underlines the three-dimensional structure.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
