1:48 Fw 190D-11/13 is an Eduard photo-etched set for a model of the late version of the German Fw 190D fighter. It is a set of details in thin sheet metal, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds parts of thin etched sheet metal which on a model take the place of, or add to, items that cannot be made fine enough in injection-molded plastic. Typically these are details of the cockpit, panels, grilles and small fittings. It is not a model of an aircraft; the basic kit and the paints are obtained separately. The particular list and number of parts are given in the instructions in the package.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D is the late development line of this fighter aircraft, in which the original radial engine was replaced by a liquid-cooled V engine with an annular radiator. Because of the longer power unit the fuselage was lengthened at the front and at the rear, which gave rise to an unmistakable silhouette. The D-11 and D-13 subversions differed from the more common machines above all in the make-up of the armament and in changes to the engine.
Separate the parts with a scalpel on a hard surface and never tear them out. Make the bends in a bending tool or between two blades; carry the small parts with a dampened brush, so that they do not fly off. Dose the glue with the tip of a wire, because an excess of cyanoacrylate glue goes white once dry and in a cockpit that shows. Parts printed in color, if they are in the package, are not sprayed over any more, while bare metal on the contrary should be degreased and given a primer. Install the interior parts before closing the fuselage.
The set is an accessory for the model. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
