This is an accessory for detailing the cockpit, not a model. The relief color decal carries three-dimensional structure and accurate colors of a modern cockpit onto the instrument panels, side consoles and seat belts. The set is tuned for the two-seat plastic JAS-39D Gripen kit from Italeri in 1:48 scale and replaces both painting and photo-etched parts.
The Saab JAS-39 Gripen is a Swedish multirole fighter introduced in the second half of the 1990s. The two-seat D version was created for advanced pilot training as well as for combat tasks and offers high agility and flexible armament. The canopy glazing over the two stations makes an accurate interior a prominent visual feature.
The parts are cut from the sheet, moistened and transferred onto the surfaces as a wet decal. The relief layer conforms to the shapes and once dry it can be sealed with a matte varnish. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
