Quickboost Kfir C2/C7 - resin air scoops 1:48 for more convincing detail on the Israeli IAI Kfir fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Quickboost is not an aircraft model but a set of resin air scoops with which, in 1:48 scale, you replace the plastic parts on a kit of the Israeli IAI Kfir fighter in the C2 and C7 versions. The castings have a cleaner shape and open inlets of the kind that are hard to render in injection-molded plastic.
The IAI Kfir is an Israeli fighter aircraft derived from the Dassault Mirage design, powered by an American General Electric J79 engine and fitted with canard foreplanes. Around the fuselage and the wing roots it carries characteristic auxiliary scoops for cooling and for feeding air to the powerplant; the C2 and C7 versions were among the most widespread.
Wash the castings in water with detergent because of the mold release agent. Separate them from the casting blocks by cutting and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic does not bond resin. Try the fit on the fuselage dry and wear respiratory protection for any sanding.
It is supplied as an unpainted set of resin parts. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
