A set of self-adhesive kabuki painting masks from New Ware in 1:48 scale for a model of the medium transport helicopter Mil Mi-8MT. The EXPERT version is an extended set that covers the cockpit and cabin glazing as well as other areas that need masking during painting. The masks speed the work up and give sharp, clean frame edges without laboriously laying down strips of tape.
The Mil Mi-8MT is a modernized version of the proven Mi-8 helicopter with more powerful TV3-117 engines. Under the NATO reporting name it is classed as the Hip and serves to carry troops and cargo in demanding conditions; it is among the most widespread helicopters of its category in the world.
Lift the masks carefully off the sheet, lay them exactly as numbered onto the glazing and press them down. Apply the paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, so that it does not creep under the edge. Spray the frame color first and the final camouflage afterwards. Once dry, peel the masks off carefully.
This is a mask set, not a model. The helicopter model and paints are not included.
