Martin-Baker Type 9B Mk.2 ejection seat 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin seat with belts for a faithful cockpit on a SEPECAT Jaguar model. Target kit: Airfix.
Responsibility details are not available.
This 3D-printed resin Martin-Baker Type 9B Mk.2 ejection seat from Art Scale is meant for detailing the cockpit of models of the SEPECAT Jaguar GR.1/GR.1A attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The seat comes in the variant with the seat belts printed on. Against the later Mk.3 it captures the earlier form of the seat, which will suit modelers building a particular period of the machine. The 3D printing gives crispness and fineness of detail. It is not a kit but a detail set. The set is intended for the Airfix kit.
The Martin-Baker Mk.9 is one of the widely used British ejection seats; the Type 9B Mk.2 variant represents the earlier form used in the Jaguar attack aircraft. A faithful replica with belts is one of the key elements of a realistic cockpit.
Clean the print supports off the part and tidy it up. Bond it with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the seat in a dark color and pick the belts and the handles out separately; bring the detail up with a wash and a dry brush, and small stencils can be added as decals.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base Airfix kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
