Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the German two-seat Messerschmitt Me 262B Schwalbe jet aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit nor a model: it is an accessory that makes painting the cockpit glazing and other small areas cleanly much easier. Because this is the two-seat version, the masks cover the framing of both cockpits; they are stuck straight onto the parts and so get crisp, straight edges without laborious cutting of adhesive tape. Sets of this kind also tend to include circular masks for the wheel discs.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 was the world's first jet fighter to see combat, entering service in the closing stages of the Second World War. The B version is the two-seat conversion with two cockpits one behind the other, used for training pilots and also as a night fighter with a crew of a pilot and a radar operator. Two glazed cockpits mean more frames, which is where masks save the most work.
Lift the mask carefully off the backing with tweezers or the tip of a knife and lay it on a dry, degreased surface. Press the edges down carefully, so that paint cannot run underneath. Apply the paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, and pull the mask off before the coat hardens completely. On strongly curved shapes it helps to seal the edge with masking fluid.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
