A resin detail set, not an aircraft kit. This set in finely cast resin replaces the side air intakes of the Soviet variable-geometry fighter MiG-23 Flogger B in 1:48 scale. It brings faithfully shaped air inlets with a deeper and cleaner opening, which from the box tends to be simplified. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
On the MiG-23 the side air intakes are a prominent part of the fuselage and both their shape and the depth of the opening decisively affect the credibility of a model. The resin replacement brings sharper leading edges and a deeper duct, which the plastic from the box often lacks. Once cleaned up and painted, the front area of the fuselage looks more convincing.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
