German Gebirgsjäger 1944 (1:35) is a resin figure of a Wehrmacht mountain trooper from Evolution Miniatures. Intended for more experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin figure in 1:35 scale depicts a German mountain trooper of 1944. It is a collector's casting for more experienced modelers, supplied as a resin kit to be assembled and painted. The figure suits both a stand-alone display on a base and a military diorama.
The Gebirgsjäger were the mountain troops of the German army, lightly armed elite infantry trained for fighting in mountains and difficult terrain. Their recognition marks were the edelweiss on the cap and the sleeve and the typical mountain cap. In 1944 these units fought on several fronts in hard conditions.
First wash the parts free of mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways while sanding. Prime the figure and then shade and highlight both the uniform and the skin. Acrylics for figures, oils for soft transitions and adjusted shades of field gray all work well.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
