A photo-etched detail set for the British Mosquito FB Mk.VI / NF Mk.II in 1:48 scale from Eduard: fine metal parts, not a model of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set for the British de Havilland Mosquito in the FB Mk.VI and NF Mk.II versions in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. It is not a model of the aircraft but a set of fine metal parts that replace or complete the details of a plastic kit. Photo-etched parts of thin sheet are sharper than molded plastic and cover the instrument panel, the seat belts, control levers and small covers and details of the interior and the exterior. The material is usually brass, with steel on some parts.
The de Havilland Mosquito was a British twin-engined multi-purpose aircraft of largely wooden construction, famous for its high speed. The FB Mk.VI version was a fighter-bomber for attacks on ground and air targets, while the NF Mk.II served as a night fighter equipped with airborne radar. Both machines were powered by a pair of Merlin engines.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and bend them over the edge of a ruler or in a bending tool. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and it is worth degreasing the surface before gluing. The set is meant for more advanced modelers used to small metal parts.
The set does not hold the model of the aircraft itself; it serves as an accessory to the matching kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
