The shade UG25 Trans-AM Highland Red is a red paint in a gloss finish from the Gundam Color line of Gunze Mr.Color. The line is mixed specifically for robot kits, so you do not have to look for the shade by mixing and you can easily get it again later, when you are touching up an area or building a second kit.
A deep red finds use on robot kits on the large areas of the hull and limbs as well as on small highlighting parts. The Trans-AM designation belongs to the equipment of machines that appear in a red finish in that mode. Outside that field the paint serves anywhere a clean gloss red is wanted, on sports cars, on motorcycles or on the warning markings of equipment.
Stir the contents thoroughly first, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Red is one of the shades that cover less well over a dark ground, so lay it over a light base and build thin coats instead of one heavy one. A gloss layer also pays off in practical terms: a decal will not silver on it and a wash slides where you want it. For the airbrush, thin the paint with the thinner intended for this line as stated by the manufacturer, and clean your tools with the same thinner immediately after work.
