This is not an airplane model but a set of self-adhesive painting masks in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Art Scale (ASK). The masks are cut from thin adhesive film and serve for accurate spraying of the frames of the glazed canopy. The express version is arranged so that application is as quick as possible; double-sided means that the set masks the glazing from the outside and from the inside.
The Nakajima J1N Gekko (Allied code name Irving) was a Japanese twin-engined multirole aircraft that made its name above all as a night fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service. The version with obliquely upward-firing cannon proved itself against Allied bombers. The aircraft also served for long-range reconnaissance.
Lift the mask off with tweezers, settle it on the frame and press it down. We recommend spraying the interior color first and the frame shade afterwards. Apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge of the mask. The set usually contains numbered parts and instructions.
This is an accessory (masks), not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
