Turned metal barrels for .50 caliber Browning M2 machine guns for the P-47 Thunderbolt in 1:48 scale – eight pieces by MASTER.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of eight turned metal barrels for .50 caliber (12.7 mm) Browning M2 aircraft machine guns, for the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter model in 1:48 scale. The Polish manufacturer MASTER turns the barrels from metal with an accurate muzzle geometry, which clearly outclasses molded plastic. The set of eight barrels matches the Thunderbolt's full armament.
The P-47 Thunderbolt was an American heavy fighter of the Second World War, one of the sturdiest aircraft of its time. Its wings carried eight .50 caliber (12.7 mm) Browning M2 machine guns, four per wing, giving it exceptional firepower for both escort duty and ground attack. The protruding barrel muzzles on the wing's leading edge are one of its trademark features.
Cut off the plastic barrels from the kit and drill holes for the metal parts in the wing's leading edge. Glue the barrels in place with cyanoacrylate glue and make sure they are aligned. The metal surface holds paint well even after a primer coat; handle the fine parts with tweezers.
This is not an aircraft model, but a metal add-on. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
