This product is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory (an aftermarket set) in 1:48 scale from Eduard. It offers a replacement canopy of the early framed type, the birdcage, for a kit of the North American P-51 B/C Mustang fighter. Without the base kit of the aircraft you cannot use it.
The early P-51B and P-51C versions of the Mustang were originally given a heavily framed canopy bulged out to the sides, nicknamed the birdcage for its many frames. Only later was it replaced on many machines by a frameless bulged cover (the Malcolm hood), and on the later versions by a teardrop canopy. This set makes it possible to build the early form of the B/C Mustang with a faithful framed canopy and a cleanly shaped clear part.
Glue the clear canopy with glue intended for clear parts or with a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue, so that it does not fog. The frames are best created by masking and spraying with an airbrush. If the set contains 3D-printed parts, separate them carefully from the print supports, clean the cuts up and glue them with cyanoacrylate; protect your airways while sanding. Finish and paint the interior of the cockpit before fitting the canopy.
