Precisely cut self-adhesive masks for the model of the Japanese twin-engine naval bomber Mitsubishi G4M1 Type 11 in 1:48 scale. The masks follow the intricate frames of the glazed cockpit and of the other glazed stations, so that spraying leaves clean, sharp frames.
The G4M1 bomber has extensive glazing with many frames, and painting them by hand is slow and prone to unevenness. The masking set speeds the work up considerably and gives an even, repeatably clean result across the whole model.
Clean and degrease the surface before applying. Carry the masks with tweezers, and once they are laid down press them carefully along the edges so that paint cannot creep underneath. Apply the paint in thin coats and lift the mask off while the finish is still fresh.
