A kit of the Belgian reconnaissance and observation aircraft Renard R.31 in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Renard R.31 was a Belgian two-seat aircraft intended for reconnaissance and observation. It appeared at the start of the 1930s and you will recognize it by the wing carried on struts above the fuselage, the fixed landing gear and the open crew stations. It was a machine of domestic design that served with the Belgian air service until the end of the 1930s, making it one of the few aircraft of Belgian origin to see combat use.
The wing is held above the fuselage by a system of struts, which is the most demanding part of the whole build. It pays to assemble it dry, check the symmetry from the front and from above, and only then glue it. The open crew stations in turn draw attention to the inside of the fuselage, so time spent on the cockpit and the seats shows clearly on the finished model.
The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
