Quinta Studio 1:48 Walnut Woodgrain - decals with a walnut wood texture

A universal set of decals from the maker Quinta Studio with a faithful grain of walnut wood. It is not a kit - the decals are applied to the surfaces of a model wherever you want to imitate wood, for example the floors of cockpits, panels, instrument panels, weapon stocks or interior elements. They replace the demanding hand painting of wood grain and suit models in 1:48 scale.

What it is for

Walnut wood appears on the real subjects in pilot compartments, on wooden floors and on other period elements. A decal with a realistic pattern of growth rings makes it possible to achieve a convincing look of wood quickly and evenly.

Use

• It is a good idea to lay a light wood shade under the area, against which the decal stands out.
• The decal is cut out to the shape needed, dipped in water and slid into place.
• At the end we recommend varnishing over it to even out the sheen and to protect it.
