This product is not a model of a helicopter but an accessory for superdetailing the cockpit. It consists of colored 3D-printed interior detail laid on flexible decal film. It reproduces the instrument panels, side consoles and panels with three-dimensional relief and faithful color, so the interior reads as realistic without demanding painting. It is neither photo-etch nor resin. This item is the smaller, reduced version of the set, aimed at the key cockpit features. The decals are shaped for the parts of the Airfix kit.
The Westland Sea King is a British multipurpose helicopter with long service in the Royal Navy and with other users. The HU.5 variant served above all for rescue and support duties. The roomy interior and the richly broken-up instrument panel make the cockpit a rewarding place to finish in detail.
The individual features are cut out of the sheet, soaked briefly in lukewarm water and slid off the carrier paper onto plastic parts gone over with a gloss varnish; they have no adhesive layer of their own and neither softener nor setting solution is used. Working with a sharp knife, tweezers and onto a degreased surface is advisable. The detail is pre-printed in color, so additional painting of the interior usually falls away.
This is an accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
