Quinta Studio Yak-1B vacuform clear canopy 1:48

This is an aftermarket accessory, not an aircraft model. It consists of a vacuum-formed clear canopy for a model of the Yak-1B fighter in 1:48 scale. This correction part replaces the canopy from the original kit and offers thinner walls, better transparency and a refined shape. It also makes it possible to show the canopy open.

Contents and use

  • A vacuform clear canopy as a replacement for the kit part (a shape correction version).
  • The part is carefully cut out of the backing film and the edges are cleaned up.
  • It is bonded with glue for clear parts or with super glue, so that it does not fog.
  • The canopy framing is masked and sprayed, ideally with an airbrush.
