A set of brakes for the racing Porsche 911 991 GT3 RSR in the 2018 specification, in 1:24 scale. It is not a model of the car and not a kit, but an accessory that replaces the brakes from the base plastic kit. For this set the manufacturer names the Nunu 24040 kit, and as the second half of the pair the DCL-PAR094 wheels for the same car. Naming the kit is not in itself a promise that the set will fit.
The parts are made by 3D printing and cover the front and rear brakes: discs, calipers, hubs with the center-lock wheel nut and brake pads. Waterslide decals for the lettering on the calipers and fitting instructions are included. Because the brakes and the wheels form one assembly on this car, it is usually practical to deal with both sets together – the hub with the center-lock nut is in both. Keep the front and rear parts apart, because on the racing Porsche they differ.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts first, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks away and protect your breathing while sanding. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, ordinary cement for plastic will not bond these parts, and a primer is mandatory. The discs look best with a metallic sheen and light weathering, the calipers in the color of the particular machine. Compare the version against a photograph of the machine you are building.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
