Castle nut with split pin 0.55 - 1.0 mm (Decalcas)

An aftermarket detail set, not a kit. It holds miniature castle (locking) nuts with a split pin in five smaller sizes: 0.55 mm, 0.7 mm, 0.8 mm, 0.9 mm and 1.0 mm. A castle nut with a split pin secures a joint against coming loose on axles, steering pins and other moving parts of a vehicle. The parts are resin (3D printed) from Decalcas. The values in mm are the dimensions of the parts, not the scale of a model.

Use

  • Choose the size you need and separate the part from the support structure with a sharp knife.
  • Wash off any print resin residue and let it dry.
  • Glue it with super glue onto the pin or axle in question.
  • Paint it in metallic shades for a realistic look.

Who the set is for

For advanced modelers who go in for superdetailing the chassis and mechanical parts.

The set is an accessory, not a complete model. It does not include glue, paints or the model itself.

FAQ

A locking nut with slots, secured against coming loose by a split pin, common on axles and steering pins. The set reproduces it as a detail.

Five smaller sizes of the part: 0.55 mm, 0.7 mm, 0.8 mm, 0.9 mm and 1.0 mm.

The values in mm are the dimensions of the parts, not the scale of a model. So choose by the dimension you need on your own model.
