A flexible cable 0.65 mm in diameter, two meters long. Material for imitating wiring and hoses on car and motorcycle models in scales from 1:6 to 1:24.
Responsibility details are not available.
The engine bay is the most rewarding place on a car model: the more lines and hoses run through it, the more alive it looks. Flexible cable is the material for exactly that. It is used for ignition leads, fuel and brake hoses, connections to the instruments and for wiring outside the car. Because it is pliable, it holds a curve by itself and does not look like a stretched wire that has obviously been bent by force.
The diameter is 0.65 mm and there are two meters in the package, which is enough for a number of models. The manufacturer recommends it for scales from 1:6 to 1:24. Converting shows where it fits: in 1:24 scale the diameter corresponds to about one and a half centimeters on a real car, and in 1:12 scale to about eight millimeters. In larger scales it therefore serves rather for thin lines, and in smaller ones for hoses and thicker bundles. The same range also offers thicker diameters, so the lines on one model can be graded.
Cut the cable with a sharp blade or modeling scissors, so that the end stays square and is not crushed. The ends are best fixed into a pre-drilled hole with a drop of super glue; the flexible material braces itself in the hole and the joint holds. Try the route dry first and measure the length along the real path including the bends, not as the crow flies. Lead a bend in a gentle curve; a sharp kink stays in the cable for good.
The model, glue, paints and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
