Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet with the artwork of carbon fiber fabric, intended according to the name for scales from 1:6 to 1:24. It serves to make the parts of a model look as if they were made of carbon composite, that is with a regular weave of fibers and a deep gloss. Such a surface practically cannot be sprayed on with paint, as the artwork of the fabric is too fine and too regular, and that is why a printed film is used instead.
On modern racing and sports cars and motorcycles a large part of the visible parts is made of composite: covers, spoilers, the diffuser, the seat, interior elements or the fairing. On a model these areas can be set apart with exactly this carbon fiber pattern, which is usually more striking than any color treatment. The designation of a smooth, fine weave in the name refers to the character of the artwork; the exact contents of the sheet are described on the box.
The base has to be smooth, clean and ideally gloss; on a matte, rough surface the edge of the film will always give itself away. First trace the part and cut the sheet with a small overlap. On curved surfaces work in smaller pieces, otherwise the pattern will stretch in the bend and stop looking convincing. Watch the direction of the weave so that it runs the same way on neighboring parts. Before applying, check in the instructions whether the elements are soaked or whether they have an adhesive layer, and proceed accordingly. The finished surface can be gone over with a coat of varnish, which levels the joints and gives the carbon fiber depth.
The package holds the printed sheet only. The model, paints and varnish are not included, unless stated otherwise.
