A wooden deck for a model of HMS Prince of Wales in her December 1941 state, 1:700 scale - a self-adhesive veneer with pre-printed deck plank laying for the Flyhawk FH1117S kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for a plastic kit, not a model. The package holds a wooden veneer cut to the shape of the deck of a model of HMS Prince of Wales from the Flyhawk FH1117S kit in 1:700 scale, with printed plank laying and an adhesive layer on the back. The figure in the name makes clear that the set matches the state of the vessel in December 1941, since the layout of the deck and of the deck fittings on ships differs from one period to another.
Both the wood and the adhesive layer react to the surroundings you work in more than most modelers expect. In a cold workshop the adhesive stiffens and the veneer adapts to the shape less well; in very dry air the material is more brittle and cracks more easily in a bend. The ideal is ordinary room temperature and normal humidity. If you bring the set in from the cold outside, let it acclimatize for a few hours in a closed bag, so that moisture does not condense on it; a damp adhesive area never holds as it should again.
Until you use the veneer, leave it lying flat and out of direct sun. A sheet rolled up or leaned on an edge remembers the shape and then twists during gluing; sunlight also bleaches the wood in time to a different tone from the one the sheet had when bought. Store it in a dry place, not in a garage or a cellar.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model. The set is made for the Flyhawk FH1117S kit and we recommend checking the match beforehand. The package holds no glue, paints or kit.
