Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the British escort destroyer HMS Zetland as she was in 1942, in 1:700 scale from the manufacturer IBG Models. The set is laid out with a waterline hull and it contains detailed superstructures, armament, ship's equipment and photo-etched parts including railings, ladders and masts.
HMS Zetland belonged to the Hunt class, one of the best known types of escort destroyer of the Royal Navy in the Second World War. These smaller but well-armed ships protected convoys against submarines and aircraft alike. The Hunt Type II version carried a main armament of 10.2 cm caliber in twin mountings, anti-aircraft guns and depth charges.
A waterline model suits a sea base as well as a display case on a stand. Glue the photo-etched railings with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and paint the small parts on the sprue. Paint the hull and the decks with an airbrush; the camouflage schemes call for careful masking. Dark washes will bring out the deck detail.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
