Trumpeter 1:700 USS Iowa BB-61 is a plastic kit of the American Iowa-class battleship in a small display scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American battleship USS Iowa (BB-61) in 1:700 scale from the brand Trumpeter. The model captures the massive silhouette of the lead ship of the Iowa class with its characteristic main battery turrets of 16-inch caliber. The box contains a one-piece hull, rotating gun turrets and a stand for display.
USS Iowa was the lead ship of the American fast battleship class of the same name. She was notable for her heavy armor protection, high speed and a main armament of nine 16-inch guns in three turrets. The ship served in the Second World War, in the Korean War and, after an extensive modernization, again in the 1980s.
The one-piece hull makes the basic build easier. Glue the small superstructures and armament precisely and with a light touch; the smallest parts can be fixed with super glue. We recommend spraying the deck and hull with an airbrush and bringing out the details with a wash. The model can be mounted on the stand supplied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
