A sheet of decals in 1:72 scale with the markings of the Airbus A400M transport in Belgian and Luxembourg service.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Airbus A400M Atlas is a military transport aircraft of European design. You can tell it at first glance: a high-mounted wing, four turboprop engines with eight-blade propellers and a folding cargo ramp at the rear of the fuselage, through which even vehicles are loaded. The machine is to replace older types of tactical transport while achieving the range and payload that formerly belonged to larger aircraft. Belgium and Luxembourg operate aircraft of this type jointly, which is reflected in their markings as well.
The decals cover the markings of the machines in Belgian and Luxembourg service: national insignia, fuselage and tail numbers and lettering. The scope of the sheet and the breakdown of the individual machines are given by the decal instructions. The aircraft model itself and the paints are not part of the sheet, unless stated otherwise.
Cut the elements out together with the edge of the backing paper, immerse them for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let them rest until the decal starts to slide on the paper. Lay it in place, pull the paper out from under the decal and blot the excess water away with a soft cloth. It is applied onto a glossy surface; otherwise matte edges will appear under the film. On a broken-up surface, for example around rows of rivets or panel joints, a decal softener will help, and once it has dried the decal follows the surface. Finally, go over the area with varnish according to the appearance the model is to have.
For modelers who build the A400M in 1:72 scale and want to finish it in a Belgian or Luxembourg rendition instead of with the markings from the box.
