A plastic kit of the Avia Ba.33 fighter biplane in 1:72 scale, a boxing released under the name Thirty-Three. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Avia Ba.33 was one of the types the Czechoslovak fighter arm rested on between the wars. In design it followed on from the older Avia BH-21, and with eighty-two machines delivered it became the backbone of the home fighter force until the more modern Avia B-534 took over. Individual aircraft served until 1939, when they were taken over by Germany, and some of them remained in Slovakia.
This boxing is released under the name Thirty-Three and brings the same plastic kit of the biplane in its own box with its own markings. The finished model has a span of 132 mm and a length of 100 mm; the particular color options are given in the enclosed instructions.
The most demanding part of the build is usually joining the two wings. Test fit the struts dry first, stand the model on a flat surface while the glue sets and check the symmetry from the front and from the side. Paint the inside of the cockpit before you close the fuselage. Cut the small parts from the sprue only at the moment you are about to glue them.
The kit will be appreciated by modelers of interwar aviation and by collectors who want another boxing of the same type on the shelf. The build is quiet work over a few evenings and calls for a sharp knife, a file and patience. Paints, glue and accessories are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
