This set from the brand Kelik brings color-printed raised elements for the interior equipment of the British four-engined bomber. They are laid onto assembled and painted parts, where they do the brush work on the panels, the consoles and the harness straps. The model of the aircraft itself is made of plastic and has to be ready beforehand. The target kit is Airfix.
The Lancaster was the main heavy bomber of the British Bomber Command, and its roomy bomb bay carried even the heaviest loads made during the war. The designation B.III belonged to the run powered by Merlin engines from American license production; otherwise it differed from the basic variant only in details. The crew moved through the fuselage along a narrow catwalk over the main spar, and every member had a corner of his own with instruments, from the pilot's seat through the navigator's table to the radio operator's station.
It is best to start from the largest surfaces and work toward the small items. The base should be matte and dry, the elements are lifted one at a time and settled with a damp brush, and a softener will help press broken-up edges down. At the end a matte clear coat comes in useful, so that the inside blends visually with the surrounding plastic.
The interior equipment is supplied on its own. The kit, the paints and the auxiliary products do not come with it, unless stated otherwise.
