The Aoshima 1:700 Japanese destroyer Hatsuharu (1941) plastic kit captures a unit of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the waterline ship scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An unassembled injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese firm Aoshima in 1:700 scale. The subject is the destroyer Hatsuharu of the Imperial Japanese Navy in her 1941 fit. The model is rendered in the waterline concept for a water base or a diorama and is meant to be glued together and painted.
The Hatsuharu was a destroyer that concentrated strong gun and torpedo armament on a relatively small hull. It was precisely this pursuit of high firepower on a limited displacement that was characteristic of the class. The ships served as escort and attack units of the Japanese fleet in the early phases of the war in the Pacific.
Glue the slender hull and the small superstructures with liquid cement for plastic and with a feel for the scale. Lay the base shade of the hull on with an airbrush and bring out the decks and the details with darker shades and gentle highlighting of the engraved lines. The torpedo tubes and the guns will sharpen the model up after careful cleaning. Railings can be added with separate photo-etched parts and the ship set in a waterline diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
