This resin accessory from the Quickboost brand in 1:32 scale offers a finely cast fuel filler point together with the matching covers for a model of the German ground-attack version of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190F-8 fighter. It is not an aircraft kit but a set of small detail parts that enliven the side of the fuselage and make it possible to show the filler point either open or closed.
The Fw 190F-8 was the attack version of the successful Focke-Wulf fighter, adapted to support ground units. Fuel was topped up through a filler point on the side of the fuselage, protected by hinged covers. A finely executed filler point with its covers is among the details that add fidelity to a model, especially when the cover is shown in the open position.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release agent. Cut off the small casting blocks with a knife, sand the surfaces and protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond the small parts gently with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply primer before painting; a fine wash will bring out the inside of the cover and the filler point.
It is supplied as a resin accessory for experienced modelers, not as a stand-alone kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
