Eduard 1:72 B-29 exterior is a full photo-etched set focused on the external details of the model of the American Boeing B-29 Superfortress bomber in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory for a kit, not a model.

It is not a kit but a full photo-etched set focused, as the name says, on the exterior, that is, on the outer surface of the model. Photo-etched brass is used in such sets where a plastic molding necessarily comes out too thick: on covers, grilles, flaps, protrusions and small surface fittings. The effect is visible on the finished model even without open doors and flaps, because these are areas on the surface of the airframe. The list of parts is in the instructions for the set; the model, glue and paints are not included.
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber introduced at the close of the Second World War. For its day it was a very advanced machine with a pressurized crew cabin and remotely controlled defensive turrets. It served mainly in the Pacific theater and, after the war, for a long time in further roles. Given its size, the finished model is a respectable piece even in 1:72 scale and surface details show markedly on it.
External photo-etch is glued onto a finished and smoothed surface, so fill and sand the joints first. In 1:72 scale the parts are very small and tend to fly off when separated; hold them down with a finger or a stick while cutting and work under a magnifier over a bounded mat. Dose the glue with a pin in fractions of a drop; excess cyanoacrylate glue will run out around the part and after painting it can no longer be hidden. Degrease the brass parts before spraying and cover them with a primer for metal.
