The set offers fully colored instrument panels and cockpit consoles of the Harrier GR.7/GR.9 vertical take-off attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. These are not ordinary marking decals but micro-printed 3D decals with relief: the color artwork is laid on a flexible film, so the instruments and displays look three-dimensional and legible. This variant captures the multifunction displays switched on, with the screens lit. The panels are sized to the cockpit of the Airfix kit.
The Harrier GR.7 and its later GR.9 upgrade were British single-seat subsonic aircraft capable of vertical and short take-off and landing (V/STOL). They served with the Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm in the ground attack and reconnaissance roles, with advanced avionics, night vision optics and a wide range of precision-guided and unguided weapons.
They go on with the usual wet decal technique: cut the part out, dip it in water for a few seconds and transfer it to the place of the instrument panel. It pays to bring the cockpit surface to an even matte finish, settle the decal with a softener and let it dry completely; once the part is down, do not move it and give it at least 45 minutes. The laborious hand painting of tiny dials and the sanding of resin parts are both avoided.
This is an accessory for detailing the cockpit, not an aircraft model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
