The set from Quinta Studio brings three-dimensional colored details of the interior of the CH-47A helicopter, printed on decal paper. They are applied as wet decals, yet they have noticeable relief, so the instrument panels, the side panels and the seats gain depth without gluing individual small pieces. The set is meant for the Trumpeter kit.
The CH-47A was the first production version of the twin-rotor Chinook transport helicopter. Thanks to the pair of counter-rotating rotors the need for a tail rotor falls away and the whole output goes into lifting capacity, which proved to be an essential advantage in Vietnam. The machines carried soldiers, artillery and recovered wrecks of other aircraft, and their later descendants fly with many armies to this day.
First paint the surfaces the decal is to be seated on, seal them with gloss varnish and let them dry smooth. Soak the decal for a shorter time than you are used to with ordinary decals and move it with a soft brush. Do not use a softener or a fixer at all, because the chemicals attack the printed resin and ruin the element.
This is an accessory set, and the helicopter itself and the glue are not in it.
