This set from the SPACE range by the Czech maker Eduard brings pre-colored 3D decals together with steel etched parts for a detailed rendering of the cockpit interior of the Lockheed Martin F-35C Lightning II fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a finishing set for models of this type. The set is meant for F-35C models of the matching scale.
The SPACE technology joins 3D decals with real relief and faithful color to steel etched parts. On a modern fighter with a large-area display in the cockpit, the 3D decals give the instrument panel and the side panels a convincing look, while the steel etched parts bring the seat belts and other small elements that cannot be printed into a 3D decal.
Apply the panels to a cleaned, smooth surface; with the 3D decals moisten only the backing paper, lift the element off with tweezers and fix it with white PVA glue. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as they attack the printed resin. Form the steel etched belts with tweezers and glue them with super glue. Finish the cockpit detail before closing the fuselage and fitting the canopy.
This is a finishing set, not an aircraft model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
