This set is a resin accessory in 1:72 scale, not an airplane model in its own right. It replaces the original cockpit of an F/A-18E/F Super Hornet plastic kit with a detailed resin casting of the tub, the seats and the side panels, and adds fine photo-etched parts. The set covers both the single-seat E version and the two-seat F, and it is meant for more experienced modelers.
The Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is an American carrier-based multirole aircraft that replaced older machines in Navy service and serves both for winning air superiority and for strike tasks. The E version is single-seat, the F version two-seat. The modern cockpit with its large-area displays is a rewarding place for superdetailing.
These are resin parts for advanced builders. Wash the castings to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with airway protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and so are the photo-etched parts. Paint the cockpit fully and bring it up before the fuselage is closed.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
