A resin detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer CMK. It contains replacement main landing gear wheels for models of the British carrier-borne torpedo and dive bomber Fairey Barracuda. It usually includes cast tires with a faithful tread pattern and legible markings on the sidewalls, separate hubs and landing gear legs. It is an accessory that sharpens the model up, not an airplane kit.
The Fairey Barracuda was a British carrier-borne aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm, used as a torpedo and dive bomber in the Second World War. Among other actions it took part in the attacks on the German battleship Tirpitz and in the fighting in the Pacific. Faithfully rendered wheels with the tire sagging under the weight of the aircraft look realistic on a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and clean up the contact faces. Glue with super glue. Darken the tires with a graphite gray, never with pure black, set the hubs apart with a mask or a brush and add dust pigments for the effect of a landing gear that has picked up dirt. Sand resin with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
