The Quickboost resin set in 1:72 scale contains accurately cast engine air intakes for the Junkers Ju 88G-6 and the Ju 188A. It is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket detailing part that replaces the simplified plastic part from the kit and gives the engine nacelles a more faithful outline.
The Junkers Ju 88 was among the most versatile German aircraft of the Second World War, and the G-6 version served as a night fighter. The Ju 188 followed it as a higher-performance bomber. The air intake on the engine nacelle has a characteristic shape that a resin casting with a hollowed mouth captures better than a solid plastic part.
Wash the part in lukewarm water with dish soap before gluing because of the mold release agent from the mold. Separate it from the casting block with a saw or a cutter; do not snap it off. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Do the sanding and cutting with respiratory protection, as resin dust is harmful to health.
This is a resin detailing part, not a model in its own right. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
