This is not an aircraft kit but an add-on set of replacement wheels intended to improve a model of the L-159 ALCA light combat aircraft in 1:72 scale. The parts are made by 3D printing in resin and offer a crisper rendering of the tread pattern and the rims than injection-molded plastic can manage. The manufacturer is the Czech company Kovozavody Prostejov.
Wheels are among the most conspicuous details of the landing gear, and at close range they decide how realistic a model looks. The resin replacement sharpens the shape of the tire and of the hub and makes it easy to flatten the contact patch for a weighted effect. The set suits a build with the landing gear extended, where the wheels are clearly visible.
First wash the print resin residue off the parts and gently sand away the marks left by the print supports (protect your airways). They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the tires a flat dark gray, pick out the hubs in a different shade and lift the whole with a light wash and dust pigments.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
