This is a resin detail set, not an aircraft model. The set contains landing gear bays and wheels for sharpening up the landing gear section of a plastic model of the MiG-21bis fighter in 1:72 scale. The faithfully made castings replace the simplified parts of the kit and bring a fine structure to the inner walls of the bays as well as a tire tread pattern.
The MiG-21bis was the most advanced production version of this widespread Soviet supersonic fighter, deployed by a number of air forces. Detailed landing gear bays markedly raise the realism of the model when it is seen from below.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean the surfaces up. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the bays and pick them out with a wash; for a true stance on the ground the wheels can have a slightly flattened contact patch.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
