An injection-molded plastic kit of the transport version of the Mil Mi-8 helicopter in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The package holds parts in gray plastic, clear glazing and a decal sheet. The model has finely engraved surface detail, a thoroughly worked interior of the cargo cabin and the side weapon pylons typical of the Mi-8T version.
The Mil Mi-8 is a Soviet twin-engine medium helicopter and one of the most widespread helicopters in history. It serves to carry troops and cargo, for assault and rescue duties and, in armed versions, for fire support as well. The Mi-8T version is a transport machine with the ability to carry unguided rockets on side pylons. The helicopter was built in enormous numbers and was used by dozens of armies and civilian operators all over the world.
Glue the large fuselage with liquid modeling cement in stages and let the joints dry well. Finish and paint the interior of the cabin before closing the fuselage. Apply a primer before painting, then spray with an airbrush. A gloss clear coat compatible with the paint will make applying the decals over large areas easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
