A sheet with circular rows of raised rivets in a black finish for 1:72 scale. Rivet size 0.10 mm, gap between rivets 0.4 mm.
Responsibility details are not available.
Rivets on a real aircraft tend to be most conspicuous where they run around a circular assembly: around the engine cowlings, around flanges and around circular caps on the fuselage. Kits often deal with these places only by engraving, which disappears after painting and varnishing. The sheet brings raised rivets arranged in circular rows, so the surface gains genuine raised detail, not just a hinted trace.
The rivet has a size of 0.10 mm and the gap between neighboring rivets is 0.4 mm. The sheet is intended for 1:72 scale and comes in a black finish, which suits places where the rivet should be visible as a dark dot in a lighter surface. The individual circular rows are cut out as a whole, so the spacing on the model stays exactly as it was printed.
It is a genuine wet decal. Soak the cut-out part in water, let it rest until it releases from the backing, and slide it into place. The surface underneath should be glossy and degreased; on flat paint air bubbles would settle under the decal. Tune the position with a brush and water. Then apply a softener and let the decal pull down so that the carrier film seats on the surface and only the rivets themselves are visible. Finally cover everything with a varnish of the sheen you want.
The sheet suits modelers who want to restore riveting after sanding seams down or to add it where the kit says nothing. The package contains the sheet described; the model, paints, softener and varnish are not included, unless stated otherwise.
