Takom 1:72 Russian Army Tractors Set KZKT-537L and MAZ-537 is a set of two complete plastic kits of heavy army tractors in one box.

The box contains two separate injection-molded plastic kits, one for the KZKT-537L tractor and one for the MAZ-537, both in 1:72 scale. According to the manufacturer, photo-etched parts and decals with several marking options are included as well. The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The MAZ-537 and the related KZKT-537L are heavy four-axle army tractors of Soviet design. They were created to move tanks, artillery and other outsize loads over difficult ground and were also used as carriers and tractors for special trailers. All-wheel drive, a powerful engine and a rugged frame made them the backbone of the logistics of armored units. Production of the KZKT-537L continued at the relevant plant until the end of the 1980s.
Because of the 1:72 scale the parts are small, so it pays to work with a sharp scalpel and tweezers. Assemble the frame and the axles on a flat base so that all the wheels sit down. Paint the cab before closing it up and mask the glazing. Apply the base coat with an airbrush and then bring the uniform shade to life with a lighter tint on the horizontal surfaces. Keep the patina in proportion to the scale: a subtle dark wash in the engraved lines and light dust on the fenders and wheels look more convincing than bold effects. A set of two vehicles also works as the basis of a small diorama or a display column.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
