A set of two large-capacity underwing fuel tanks of 1500 liters in 1:48 scale. It is a 3D-printed resin accessory by Reskit intended for models of the Panavia Tornado in the F3, GR1 and GR4 versions. The tanks have the riveted surface typical of the aircraft of the Royal Air Force (RAF) and the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), so they match reality better than the shapes from ordinary plastic kits.
The Panavia Tornado is a supersonic combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed by an international consortium. The large-capacity underwing tanks extended the range considerably and were standard equipment on combat and training missions alike. The riveted version corresponds to the British and Saudi production standard.
First wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut them carefully from the print supports and dry-fit them. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding and cleaning up. Lay down a filler primer before painting; the surface suits the airbrush and ordinary building alike.
This is an add-on detail set, not an aircraft model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
