A bundle of accessory sets from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Short Stirling Mk.III four-engine bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a package of accessories for a model you obtain separately. The word ESSENTIAL marks the basic scope of the bundle - a more extensive variant for the same aircraft is designated ADVANCED, so you can choose how many details you want to deal with.
The Short Stirling was a British four-engine heavy bomber and the first four-engine bomber introduced with the Royal Air Force in the Second World War. It had a large fuselage with a long bomb bay and tall landing gear, which gave the machine its characteristic stance on the ground. The Mk.III version was a later production variant with a modified dorsal turret. Thanks to its size the Stirling stands out even in 1:72 scale, and the interior spaces and the busy surface give accessories plenty to do.
Separate photo-etched parts with a scalpel or photo-etch shears on a hard surface and bend them in a bending tool, not with your fingers - once a part is creased the wrong way it is hard to straighten. They are bonded with tiny drops of super glue applied with a pin. Do not spray over pre-painted color parts. On a large bomber it pays to install the interior accessories before gluing the fuselage together and to photograph the finished parts, because once it is closed you will not see them again. Stick masking films onto polished clear parts, press them down with a blunt stick and spray the frames in coats; take the masks off shortly after the paint has dried.
The set is an accessory for a kit; the kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
