An injection-molded plastic model of the Su-27P heavy fighter in 1:72 scale in an IBG Models edition devoted to machines of the Ukrainian Air Force. The package builds on a proven plastic tool and its main contribution is a new decal sheet with several Ukrainian marking options. Modelers can therefore build a striking machine in current national colors.
The Su-27 is a single-seat heavy fighter developed by the Sukhoi design bureau, designed for air superiority and with a long range. The letter P denotes the version for air defense. The aircraft is powered by two jet engines, has an aerodynamically clean integral airframe and is one of the best-known fighters of its generation. Machines of this type form the backbone of Ukrainian fighter aviation.
Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, and fill and sand the fuselage seams as needed. Mask the canopy glazing before painting. Apply primer before painting; the typical multi-tone gray schemes of the Su-27 reward subtle shading of the panels and bringing out the engraved lines with a wash. Paint and fit the external stores and the auxiliary tanks according to the instructions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
