An accessory, not a model of the aircraft in its own right. The package contains a vacuum-formed clear part for the two-seat cockpit of plastic models of the Su-27UB or the Su-30 in 1:72 scale. The thin-walled glazing offers better transparency and finer frames than an ordinary injection-molded part, which on a tandem cockpit tells particularly well.
The Su-27UB is the two-seat combat trainer version of the Soviet, later Russian, Su-27 heavy fighter, from which the family of Su-30 multirole machines is also derived. The lengthened tandem cockpit with its large glazed area is one of the prominent recognition features of these aircraft.
Cut the vacuum-formed part out along the outline and sand it down to the edge. It is glued with a clear canopy cement or spot-glued with superglue away from the transparent areas. The many frames of the tandem cockpit are best masked with tape or a template and sprayed with an airbrush. Wash the part before painting and do not touch it with your fingers.
The set does not contain the model of the aircraft itself and no paints or glue; it is a separate glazing accessory.
