A waterslide decal sheet in 1:72 scale meant for models of the photo-reconnaissance Spitfire in the PR.XIX version, also designated PR.19. The sheet brings markings for particular machines and completes a model with national insignia, codes and service lettering. The printing is crisp, in accurate register and with a thin carrier film.
The Supermarine Spitfire PR.XIX was an unarmed photo-reconnaissance aircraft powered by a Rolls-Royce Griffon engine. It was one of the last and highest-performing reconnaissance versions of the Spitfire, able to fly at great altitude. It lasted in RAF service into the postwar years and is one of the high points of the development line of the type.
Clear-coat the surface under the decal with gloss varnish so that no silvering appears. Let the decal soften in lukewarm water, slide it into place and press it down gently. Softeners help the decals cling to the surface detail. Finally unify everything with matte or satin varnish.
This is a stand-alone decal sheet, not a model. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included.
