An injection-molded plastic kit of the twin-engine Vickers Wellington in the GR Mk.XIV version in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The model has finely engraved panel lines, a well-worked cockpit interior, a rear gun turret and landing gear; the box holds a decal sheet for two marking options.
The Wellington was a British twin-engine bomber marked by the geodetic lattice construction of its airframe. The GR Mk.XIV version served with Coastal Command for maritime patrol and the fight against submarines: it carried a radome with search radar under the nose, racks for unguided rockets on the wings and, on night machines, a searchlight to illuminate the target. It was deployed in the closing stage of the Second World War.
Use liquid cement for plastic and clean up the fuselage joints carefully. Finish and paint the interior before closing the fuselage. An airbrush and a primer base suit an even coat of camouflage; a gloss coat under the decals will prevent silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
